What gets on Ethernews
Ethernews watches a hand picked list of sources, not the open web. Client releases, core dev forums, and team blogs carry the most weight.
The rules:
- Stories must be substantively about Ethereum or its ecosystem.
- Factual reporting only, and bad news counts.
- Opinion is limited to essays from significant ecosystem voices, always labeled opinion.
- Price is limited to a plain note when ether makes an exceptional move.
- Crypto policy is limited to landmark shifts in how Ethereum is regulated.
- Big claims rank low until corroborated.
- Ranking rewards corroboration, significance, centrality to Ethereum, and freshness.
- Roundups are labeled as roundups.
- Every story gets a one sentence plain language explainer.
An editor model applies these rules to every incoming item, with human oversight. The numbers behind them stay private.
